The Bartlesville City Council will meet Monday evening to discuss and take possible action on several items, including a rezoning request for the proposed B The Light Mission and amendments to the Water Shortage ordinance.

According to the agenda, the City Council is expected to act on the City Planning Commission’s recommendation to approve the rezoning of property and a development plan for 219 N Virginia Ave., to allow for the establishment of B The Light Mission, a proposed homeless shelter that was met with some opposition but mostly support during the CPC meeting on Tuesday.

Additionally, the City Council is expected to act on a recommendation from the Bartlesville Water Resources Committee to modify the Water Shortage Ordinance, specifically addressing when swimming pools would be required to be closed, eliminating a proposed amendment that specifically targeted car wash business owners, setting new emergency water rates and establishing a new block of high-gallon users that would pay higher rates if a water emergency was declared.

The City Council meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. on Monday in the Council Chambers at Bartlesville City Hall, 401 S. Johnstone Ave., in downtown Bartlesville.
