Public Information Officer with the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Scott Haywood was at Monday's Board of Osage County Commissioners meeting. Haywood had exciting news saying that with the arrival of fall, the Osage County Department of Health is ready to serve its citizens.

Haywood added that another COVID-19 booster shot has became available. He says they will be using funds to acquire that in the near future as well. Haywood recommends this new shot for those 60 and older.

The health department will also host a community forum next Tuesday at the Pawhuska Community Center dealing with the drug overdose problem in the county.
