The Nowata County Commissioners continued discussions on the County Courthouse improvements in their regular weekly meeting. The Commissioners met on Tuesday instead of Monday due to the Labor Day Holiday. Courthouse Secretary Rachel Marrs continued to raise concerns to Commissioner Troy Friddle and showed him some cheaper alternatives including water cooler fans and portable air conditioners.

Friddle explains why he thinks that wouldn’t be the best idea. 

Emergency Manager Laurie Summers shared her response to Friddle on the issue as well. 

Next they accepted two grants, with one coming from Cherokee Nation. Finally Laurie Summers gave an update on Remote Radio Installation project. 

The Commissioners will meet again next Monday at 9 am at the Nowata County Courthouse Annex.
