The Osage County Sheriff’s Office is in need of a medical provider after their most recent source went up in price. At Monday’s county commissioners meeting, Sheriff Eddie Virden said Theresa Flowerette had been filling in and doing a god job and recommended that she fill the void.

Virden added that he thinks it will be a better service for the inmates and will be more convenient for the jail staff.

District Three Commissioner Charlie Cartwright, who used to work at the sheriff’s office hadn’t reviewed the contract yet and was hesitant to sign it, noting the high liability of getting a lawsuit brought forth through the county jail. He, along with the Board, agreed to pay Flowerette for services she has provided so far, but tabled approving the contract until they have had a chance to review it.
