If you missed it on Saturday morning, KWON had its annual high school football preview show. Our Coach’s Breakfast Broadcast aired from just after 7:00 until 10:00 from Chick-Fil-A in Bartlesville.

We heard from every high school head coach in Northeast Oklahoma. You can view the entire show archived on KWONTV.com.

This week is a scrimmage week for pretty much every team statewide. Most will be on Friday night, with several close to Bartlesville.

BHS will host Ponca City at Custer Stadium on Friday night. Varsity guys will take the field at 8:00. Today will be the first day in pads for Bartlesville after its Meet the Bruins event was called off due to lightening in the area on Friday night.

There is still quite the buzz around BHS football after its playoff win in November at Lawton.

Head coach Harry Wright says that victory has set Bartlesville up to raise the bar this fall.

The Bruins junior class will grab most of the headlines this fall. BHS returns its top quarterback, running back and wide out from a year ago, all in the junior class.

Wright talks about those Bruins and tailback PJ Wallace heading into 2023.

We will have some coverage of the scrimmage on Friday night on KWONTV.com. Bartlesville opens its season at home against Claremore on Sept. 1.

We will carry Bruin football on KWON and KWONTV.com this fall.
