Excessive Heat Warning in Effect for Thursday

Excessive heat warnings continue for northeast Oklahoma.
The National Weather Service has extended an Excessive Heat Warning to include Washington, Osage, Nowata and Pawnee counties until 8 p.m. Thursday.
The weather service says hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are possible.
Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values to around 110 degrees are expected.
A heat advisory remains in effect for southeast Kansas until 8 p.m. as well, for heat index values up to 105 degrees possible.
