Bruin Football Offseason Progresses

Bartlesville High is on Spring Break, along with most other high schools across the area. Spring football is only 6-7 weeks away, and the program is rounding into shape under first-year head coach Harry Wright.
He has been on the job about two months so far. Nearly 70 guys have consistently been to varsity workouts over the past few weeks.
Wright talks about his first couple months on the job.
Wright says he wants his staff to fully be in place by the time spring football starts at the fist of May, and he has made major strides toward finalizing those plans.
Travis Burkhalter will be Bartlesville’s Defensive Coordinator this fall. Burkhalter was a former high school teammate of Wright’s at Eufaula and played collegiately at Wyoming.
Wright talks about the Bruin’s new DC.
Burkhalter was most recently a coach on the offensive side of the ball at John Marshall in Oklahoma City. Other coaches new to the staff: Brandon Webb, a former Oklahoma State offensive lineman, who will be the offensive line coach for BHS.
And a familiar name in Bartlesville High grad Easton Hammonds returns to coach some of the sub-varsity teams and defensive backs.
