OKU Scrimmage on Friday

Oklahoma Union is another club with a scrimmage on Friday - and Cougar football enters the 2020 season with something uncommon for the program—expectations.
The Cougars have made the playoffs in each of the last two seasons and have a rich crop of seniors that return for the 2020 season.
OKU relies heavily on the run game that will feature Mason Pittman, Trinton Kuehn and Henry Auer, all three have a wealth of experience in the offense. The Cougars offensive line is a bit of a question mark after two players expected to be starters are no longer with the program.
Third-year head coach Stephen Trammell says so far the unit has shown promise.
Trammell says with no spring ball the team has been challenged to get all of the offensive playbook installed. The Cougars are set to scrimmage with Class-A titan Tonkawa on Friday evening. Then the Cougars will head to Nowata for the season opener on August 28.
That game will be broadcasted on KRIG 104.9 FM.
