The Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s basketball team begins a run that it hopes will end in its third consecutive national tournament appearance. The No. 18 Eagles host Friends University in the first round of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.

The Eagles lost two nailbiters to the Falcons in the regular season, 72-71 and 75-71. Both games saw the Eagles squander chances to end the game in final few possessions. OKWU head coach Donnie Bostwick talks about late-game execution.

Defense typically plays up in the postseason and the Eagles have a good one. At 70.8 points allowed per game OKWU has the best scoring defense in the KCAC despite playing high-paced games a majority of the time. This unit will try to control four different double figures scorers on the Falcons.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. from the Mueller Sports Center in Bartlesville. Radio coverage can be heard for free on Sportstalk 99.1 FM with Max Gross and Oklahoma Wesleyan Hall of Famer Roger Skelly on the call.
