Fire crews from Washington County are on the road Tuesday evening to lend a hand to firefighters on scene at a fire in Woodward County.  Ready Woodward is reporting that a conservative estimate shows that more than 27,500 acres have already burned. 

Washington County Emergency Management Director Kary Cox made the decision that, “We will not be sending a full task force due to manpower shortages locally at this time. Ochelata will send a single unit and I will be heading over to run the staging area.” 

Locally, a “Fire Weather Watch” is in effect until 8 P.M. Wednesday evening.
