Official voter registration statistics released Friday show that Independents are the fastest growing segment of the state's electorate. State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax said that there are 1,978,807 registered voters in Oklahoma as of January 15, 2016.

There is still time to register for the elections taking place on March 1^st, which includes the presidential primary. The deadline is February 5, 2016.
