The Bartlesville football team is off to a hot start in 2015. 

That start will be put to the test on Friday night from Custer Stadium, as Bartlesville opens district play against Sand Springs (2-0). The Sandites have won games against Nathan Hale and Enid this year. BHS is coming off a 42-20 win against Enid last week. 

Sand Springs held the Plainsmen to only seven points in their victory (33-7), highlighting the strongest attribute for the Sandites; their defense. 

Charles Page has nine starters returning on the defensive side of the ball. That unit held teams to just 19.9 PPG last season.
