Move-in To Help BHS Girls Hoops

Earlier this week we talked some Bartlesville High boys’ basketball, now let’s look at the girl’s side, where there are several returners looking to improve on an impressive 2023-24 season.

BHS went 12-13 with a close loss to Union in the 6A Regionals.

Bartlesville lost its top two scorers off last year’s team in Mikka Chambers and Cassie Snead. However, the Bruin girls return four players with starting experience.

Alayah Lunn, Emma Zimmerman, Kennedy Nubel and Adrianne Flick all started multiple games last season and are back again this winter.

Head coach Justyn Shaw is in his fourth season leading the Lady Bruins. Shaw grades how BHS has fared in its preseason scrimmages thus far.

Bartlesville will get immediate help from a move-in in Sami Sheaffer. Sheaffer is a junior this year and has already garnered several offers to play at the next level.

Shaw describes the newest Lady Bruin.

Just like the BHS guys, Bartlesville will start its 2024-25 season at home a week from Friday against Ponca City at Bruin Field House.
