Dewey football came to a close on Friday night following their loss to Chandler, 38-7.

In the first season under head coach Scott Sapulpa, the Bulldoggers doubled their win total from last year and won three district games. The Bulldoggers picked up a signature win over 3A Locust Grove to open the season, followed by key district wins to stay in the playoff race all 10 weeks.

Sapulpa said his team never let up.

Dewey loses lots of key pieces from a solid senior class on both sides of the ball. The Bulldoggers only lose one piece on the offensive line and will have starting quarterback Braxton Braden back for his junior season.

Sapulpa said the future of Dewey football is bright.

Dewey finishes year one of the Scott Sapulpa era with an overall record of 4-6.
