OKWU Basketball Advances Past Evangel

Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball surged past Evangel in the opening round of the KCAC tournament on Wednesday night, 100-81.
Offense was in full throttle going both ways throughout the night, both teams shot over 50% from the field to finish the game. OKWU led at the half, 57-49.
Evangel kept hanging around with some deep three-pointers and found themselves working with a lead midway in the second half. OKWU trailed 72-70 with 10 minutes left to play before blowing it open.
OKWU with the win advances to the semfinals of the KCAC tournament on Saturday against Bethel.
Bethel beat Ottawa in double overtime on Wednesday, 88-84.
Tip-off from the Mueller Sports Center at 2 p.m. on Saturday with a spot in Monday night's conference championship game on the line.
