Following a loss to the Okemah Lady Panthers in Tuesday evening's regional championship game, the Pawhuska Lady Huskies can't afford a loss if they want to make the state tournament. That would mean winning three games at the area tournament in Enid and it starts Thursday with a game against Fairview.

The Yellowjackets enter the game with a 19-8 record and Coach David Cash says they are very similar to the quick Okemah team that Pawhuska just lost to.

Pawhuska has battled injuries all season long. Heading into the first round of this area tournament, one player who is gritting it out is Madison Easley. She broke her nose in Saturday's game against Fairland, but is battling through it by playing with a mask to protect herself. Cash talks about the toughness Easley is showing at the most important part of the season.

Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. from Enid High School. Coverage can be heard on 99.1 FM KPGM and audio coverage will be available on KPGMTV.com.
