OKWU Weekend Recap: Eagles shine in KCAC play

Oklahoma Wesleyan University have opened up KCAC play in their their fall sports and it was another strong weekend for the Eagles. We start with the women's volleyball team as they won their 13th in a row, with a five set thriller 3-2 over McPherson College. It was back and forth action with McPherson in Bartlesville as the Bulldogs won the first set 25-23, before OKWU won the next two sets 25-21 and then 25-20. The next two sets were battles with the Bulldogs stealing the fourth set 26-24 and OKWU winning the 5th, 15-13 to win the match.

 

Former Bartlesville Bruin standout Sydney Collins had a big match with 57 assists and 12 assists, while Evelyn Rohrberg lead the Eagles with 24 kills. The NAIA 6th ranked Eagles improved to 16-1 overall and 1-0 in KCAC play with a home match against Ottawa University on Wednesday.

 

 OKWU Men's soccer  won 5-0 at Bethel, to win their 4th straight match and are now 5-1. 

 

Congratulations to OKWU women's soccer Coach Ivan Ristic on getting his career win #100 as head coach of the Lady Eagles soccer program. Oklahoma Wesleyan blanked Bethel College 5-0 to improve to 5-0-2 and remain unbeaten on the season.


Both OKWU soccer programs travel to Ottawa on Wednesday.
