OKWU Baseball One Win from KCAC Title Game

The Eagles today met up with second-seeded Tabor and came out with a 6-4 victory to stay undefeated in the KCAC tournament. OKWU stays on the winners bracket and now places themselves in a fantastic spot going into the weekend.

The Blue Jays had the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth trying to take the lead or walk it off, and OKWU pitcher Ashton Luera answered the call and slammed the door shut.

OKWU now has to win just one game on Saturday to clinch their ticket to the title game on Sunday. The Eagles will face the winner of Friends University and Tabor College, two teams OKWU has beaten in as many days.

Wesleyan now improves their record to 33-18 on the season. They will have to win the conference tournament to get a bid into the NAIA national tournament.

We will have more updates on OKWU baseball as the KCAC tournament rolls along.
