Youth Movement To Lead Cougars Basketball

Oklahoma Union is in action for its second pool play game in the Ty Hewitt Memorial tournament in Nowata tomorrow as they take on Life Way Christian from Arkansas. The Cougars are looking to rebound after dropping their opener to Nowata, 59-44.

Oklahoma Union has a young, but talented roster featuring one senior, three juniors and one sophomore in the starting lineup. Cougars head coach Lee Ott thinks the chemistry of his group can make up for their lack of experience.

The Cougars will even have two freshmen that will see regular minutes off the bench. Bench depth will need to be a strength for the Cougars as they get set for a daunting stretch leading up to winter break with three of four games on the road between December 11 and December 18.

Oklahoma Union and Life Way will tip off Friday at 8 o’ clock from Nowata High School.
