Winget and Fireworks Go Together

The Doenges Ford Indians open up play in the Glen Winget Memorial baseball tournament on Saturday night.

That tournament has been a Bartlesville staple over the July 4th holiday since 1959. The Indian’s open things up at 6:45 on Saturday evening against Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Bartlesville is trying to make it back to the finals of the Winget for the second straight season. The Indian’s won the tournament for the first time in 13 years in 2016.

Bartlesville playing in the tournament finals assures a lot of fans in the stands before the Freedom Fest fireworks downtown, which will coincide with the championship game at 6:00 PM on Tuesday. Tournament Director John Pannell talks about how the fireworks came to work with the Winget.
