Wesleyan Christian Football Opens Friday
Another area team that plays its first game of 2019 on Friday is Wesleyan Christian, as it is a pivitol season for WCS.
The Mustangs are back under the direction of Curt Cloud for the third straight year. WCS will take on Wellston to begin the year.
It is the first game back in the OSSAA by themselves for the Mustangs since they co-oped with Copan last year. Cloud says game No. 1 will hinge on a number of things, including play from his outstanding senior quarterback.
Austin Cobb is entering his fourth season as a starter with the Mustangs. He leads a big group of upperclassmen for WCS, as Cloud has seven seniors on the roster of about 13 guys heading into game No. 1.
7:00 PM kick between Wellston and Wesleyan Christian on Friday night in Bartlesville.
