An area high school football team has had to cancel its game for Thursday.

Wesleyan Christian was scheduled to take on Life Christian out of Oklahoma City for its senior night in Bartlesville. Life Christian canceled its trip to visit the Mustangs.

That made Wesleyan Christian’s game against Olive this past Friday senior night. The Mustangs had enough time to change their plans and honor their lone senior, Devon Foley, and he deserved it.

Foley had three touchdowns against Olive, two on the defensive side and one as a tailback. Wesleyan Christian beat down Olive 66-20. Mustang head football coach Curt Cloud.

Wesleyan Christian is 5-3. Depending on how the next two weeks go, the Mustangs have a chance to host a playoff game in the Heartland Christian Conference.

Next game for Wesleyan Christian is also its final game.Thursday, Oct. 26 against Chetopa.
