Wednesday at Caney Valley Tournament
Wednesday was a makeup day for Monday at the Caney Valley Tournament - and there was some lopsided ballgames.
First for the boys, Liberty ran away from Wesleyan Christian in the Mustangs opening game in Ramona, Liberty won 68-42. Jerell Martin and Desmond Thompson both scored 15 for WCS.
In the nightcap it was Barnsdall over Copan 72-45. The Panthers built a double-digit lead midway through the first quarter and never looked back. Back-to-back threes from Barnsdall leading scorer Christian Warford was part of the run,
Warford ended the game 23. The Panthers are 13-2.
Other finals from Ramona on the girl’s side on Wednesday, Liberty topped Foyil 58-34. And Caney Valley blew out Copan 60-24.
Games in Ramona on Thursday will be in the winner's bracket of the tournament:
Chelsea and the Oklahoma Union girls play at 4:00 PM. Barnsdall and the Liberty boys tip at 5:30 PM on KRIG 104.9 FM.
At 7:00 it will be Caney Valley and the Liberty girls. Then the nightcap at 8:30 is between Oklahoma Union and Caney Valley, that game will also be on KRIG 104.9 FM.
