WCS Football to Retain Good Numbers
Wesleyan Christian School sent off seven seniors this past Friday following the Mustang’s final game victory over Olive.
With the win, Weslyean Christian finished the season at 4-5, just barely on the outside looking in for the Class B playoffs.
The departure of such a large senior class in a program that does not have huge numbers of players out for the team is noteworthy. WCS head coach Curt Cloud says that Wesleyan is likely to drop to Class C when the new districts come out for the next two seasons.
Cloud also said that the appeal for football may be better with the Mustangs in Class C because of shorter travel and games against more familiar opponents closer to the area.
