WCS Basketball Set for 2018

Wesleyan Christian basketball has a couple of juniors that should push the program to knew heights in 2018.

The Mustangs return a couple big time starters in Austin Cobb and Levi Harper. Both are juniors that will be a force for WCS. Harper is hurt and won’t play until after Thanksgiving. Wesleyan Christian has 17 guys out for the basketball team this winter.

Just like in football the past several months, this is the first year back in the OSSAA. Head coach Kameron Nettleton partly credited that with the high turnout of players on the squad. Nettleton says being back in the OSSAA doesn’t change a whole lot for his squad until the end of the year

Wesleyan Christian will play the likes of Barnsdall, Caney Valley and will take part in tournaments with Copan and Pawhuska.

The Mustangs tip off the 2018 season on Friday against Union Christian.

Wesleyan Christian is hosting a festival of games this weekend. It will take on Claremore Christian on Saturday, as well.
