College football over the weekend:

OU somehow keeps surviving. The Sooners played another much closer than expected game at home against West Virginia. Oklahoma needed a last second field goal to get the victory, 16-13 late on Saturday night in Norman.

Oklahoma has won every game except for one by one score or less. The Sooners are now 4-0 and No. 6 in the country. They travel to Kansas State this Saturday.

Speaking of Kansas State, Oklahoma State rolled for the first time this year. Pokes topped the Wildcats 31-20. OK-State had a monster first-half, led by quarterback Spencer Sanders. The defense was stout again, picking up this score.

OK-State is 4-0, it’s into the AP top-25 for the first time at No. 19. Pokes host No. 21 Baylor on Saturday night in Norman.

And Tulsa picked up its first win. The Golden Hurricane topped Arkansas State 41-34 on Saturday. TU is 1-3 and hosts Houston to begin American Athletic Conference play this Friday night at 6:30.
