Bartlesville High School made headlines with the hiring of Anthony Tucker as the Bruins new boys soccer coach last week. Tucker will be a familiar face after helping on the staff of the Lady Bruins last season. Tucker says it is incredible moment to come home to coach the Bruins.

Tucker worked as a varsity assistant specializing on working with goalkeepers. Tucker also was the head coach of the Junior Varsity. Tucker also had a stint as the head boys coach at Coffeyville’s Field Kindley High School. Tucker says it was always his intention to get back to becoming a head coach.

After graduating BHS, Tucker went to play at Independence Community College before transferring to Divison II Delta State University in Mississippi. Tucker also played Tulsa Club 89 soccer team.

Tucker takes the post after Vladen Glavonic resigned. The Bruins went 4-8 last season. Tucker is expected to be appointed as the head coach at Monday night's BPS board meeting.
