Oklahoma Union football is getting ready to usher in a new era in the fall. The Cougars have tabbed Stephen Trammell as their new head coach. Trammell has a wealth of coaching experience spending 19 seasons as an assistant on the staff at Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa.

Trammell served in many different roles during his time at BK, coaching all three phases of the game. The first-time head coach is excited to build character in his athletes.

As far as on the field, Trammell wants to see his team improve in late game execution. The Cougars went 4-6 in 2017. That includes four games in which they led late in the contest before losing by a touchdown or less.

Trammell thinks a culture of accountability will help in those situations.

We’ll have more on area high schools preparing for the 2018 season in the coming days.
