The title game is set in the Bartlesville Area Amateur Base Tournament. Oilfield Pipe & Supply and Remax are the only two left after Thursday night’s action at the Price Fields.

Oilfield took care of United Linen in the winner’s bracket, 8-0 in six innings. Hayden Thompson dominated on the mound as he racked up 7 strikeouts without issuing a walk in the complete-game shutout performance. Thompson also sealed the game with this RBI hit.

Thompson went 2-4 with 3 RBI at the plate. Davis Chancellor also had two hits.

This sent No. 1 seed United Linen to the consolation championship to meet up with Remax, who had defeated Safari Smiles 15-2 to advance. Remax was able to squeak a tough upset victory, 6-3.

Eric Ohlenberger went the full five innings on the mound, racking up 10 strikeouts on the way. With the game tied at two in the fourth inning, UL opted to intentionally walked Ohlenberger and that move immediately backfired as two pitches later he scored on this double steal.

So it will Oilfield and Remax on Friday night for the city championship. Radio coverage can be heard on Sportstalk 1500 AM—99.1 FM KPGM starting at 6 p.m.
