An incredible run from Former Bartlesville High Lady Bruin Hailey Tucker and Southwestern Oklahoma State’s women came to an end on Friday evening, as SWOSU fell to Lubbock Christian 95-85 in double overtime in the National Championship for NCAA Division II basketball.

The Lady Bulldogs were on the verge of the title in the first OT, before Lubbock hit a last-second three-pointer to force double overtime. SWOSU led by three as time was running out, but Lubbock got multiple offensive rebounds and eventually tied it.

Lubbock would then sprint out to a double-digit lead in the second extra period, and that would be the ballgame.

Tucker was tremendous, as she has been her whole career. She scored 30-points in her final colligate game, she also grabbed 16 rebounds. Those were both team highs.

It is Lubbock Christian’s second national title in the last four years.
