Senior Night at Bruin Fieldhouse on Friday
It is the final regular season double-header of the year for the Lady Bruins and Bruins on Friday evening at Bruin Fieldhouse.
It is senior night against Union.
For the Lady Bruins, history could be made. The Bartlesville girls are trying for the first undefeated regular season in varsity basketball history at BHS. The Lady Bruins are 21-0. Bartlesville blasted Union during the previous meeting in January, 55-33. The girls will honor four seniors in Vivian Culver, Destiny Harris, Erin Shoemaker and Ashlynn Nakvinda. However, BHS is guaranteed another home game next week when it hosts a regional on Thursday.
On the guy’s side, Bartlesville is finally getting healthy. The Bruins had their first game in a week with their usual starting in a loss to Broken Arrow on Tuesday. The matchup against Union marks the end of a particularly brutal Frontier Valley Conference schedule. Here is Bartlesville head boy’s coach Clent Stewart.
Bartlesville lost at Union 74-54 back in January on the guy’s side. The Bruins will honor seniors Jake Bilger, Andrew Gronigan and Abhi Ayyappan – Friday will be their final game in Bruin Fieldhouse. 6:30 PM tip for the girls, boys will start after around 8:00. We will have both those games on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.
