The Doenges Ford Indians are going to try to have round two of their tryouts for Bartlesville’s summer baseball team on Wednesday evening.

The tryouts are scheduled to begin at 6:00 at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium, weather pending. The first round of tryouts at the ballpark on Sunday produced about a dozen players from throughout the area, but manager Anthoney Towers is hoping for a few more this evening.

Bartlesville will likely begin its season at some point next week, following the Memorial Day holiday. The Indians are going to play about 40 games over the course of 60 days or so this summer. Towers talks about what he knows of the schedule thus far.

We will have updated tryout information if weather causes a postponement or cancellation on Wednesday. We will also have the Indian’s schedule for you when it’s available.

You can catch every Indian’s game this summer on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.

American Legion baseball is in its 84th consecutive season in Bartlesville.
