The Bartlesville football Bruins are trying to out-perform their 2018 season, which saw a resurgence in excitement about the program.

Bartlesville went 4-6 a season ago and missed out on the playoffs by a single game.

BHS was one of the most prolific run-teams in 6A-II last year, racking up 2,806 yards on the ground, with most of that coming from DeAndre Young, who has since graduated.

Laken Clowdus will take over the main tailback spot this year, he has been a huge part of the Bruin offense since he was a sophomore. Sport talks about his starting running back.

Caleb Perry, who Sport mentioned, spent some time at wide receiver last year and was impressive in limited reps. Bartlesville will open up 2019 at home against Claremore on Sept. 6 at Custer Stadium.

Don’t forget you can listen to Bruin football all fall long on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.
