Pawhuska Sets Eyes on Newkirk for Homecoming

Week No. 6 of high school football is coming up on Friday and many teams are off.

Bartlesville, Dewey and Nowata may be on a bye, but Pawhuska is in action.

It is the Huskies Homecoming against Newkirk. Pawhuska is 0-5 on the year, but it appears that the young football team has been getting better. They showed things off a bit against Tonkowa in the second half this past week, putting up 24 points. Husky head coach Joe Tillman talks about the improvement of his football team.

Newkirk went 1-19 combined through 2015 and 2016 but the Tigers are much improved this year. Newkirk is off to a 3-2 start, including a district win against Perry last week.

Don’t forget we will have the play-by-play broadcast of the Huskies and the Tigers on Friday evening on 99.1 FM – KPGM.
