Panthers Take on Preston with Area Berth on the Line
On Thursday evening, the Barnsdall Panthers will make the 75 mile trip south to Preston with a chance to make it to the Area Tournament for the first time in Clif Warford's tenure as the Barnsdall head coach. That win would put the Panthers in a Regional Championship game Saturday night. A loss would force Barnsdall to win games on Friday and Saturday to make the Area Tournament, something Warford doesn't want.
Preston comes into this game with a record of 13-14, but the Pirates come in battle-tested. They have played 12 ranked teams in their respective classifications. Preston won three of those games.
A loss to Oilton in last year's regional tournament knocked the Panthers out of the playoffs.
Tipoff is scheduled for 8 o' clock Thursday evening at Preston High School.
