For the second time this season a Barnsdall freshman has been nominated for Tulsa World Player of the Week. This time it was quarterback Maverick Lamphear. He was instrumental in the Panthers 28-point comeback to defeat Claremore Christian 36-34 on Friday.

The Barnsdall freshman was 12 -16 passing for 289 yards, four TDs and the winning 2-point conversion with 13 seconds left plus he had 14 tackles. Lamphear threw the game tying Touchdown pass to Braden Byers with 13 seconds left and then ran in the game-winning conversion.

The Panthers are now 3-1 on the season. Barnsdall was ranked in the Class B top 10 prior to losing to Summit Christian in Week 3 action. The Panthers did not crack the polls this week and neither did any other area team.
