OU, OSU Have First Practices

First day of college football fall camp is in the books, as teams practice without pads for a few days before contact action starts this weekend.

At Oklahoma, Brent Venables had his first fall camp practice as a head coach. He says the Sooners will need to win the mental battle to be able to have success on the field.

OU opens at home against UTEP on Sept. 3.

Meanwhile in Stillwater, Oklahoma State is hoping for an improved and deeper offensive line. The Cowboys dealt with injuries at that position all spring.

Head coach Mike Gundy say she likes where that group is.

Pokes open at home against Central Michigan on Thursday, Sept. 1.
