Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball battled back from a Friday loss to win two games over Tabor College on Saturday in a Kansas Colligate Athletic Conference double-header.

The victories for the Eagles kept them in first place in the KCAC. OKWU blasted Tabor in game one, winning 17-4.

John Lantigua was the hero in game one. The Wesleyan third basement went 5-5 with six RBIs. One of those hits was a solo home run. The Eagles scored 11 runs combined in the third and fourth innings to put Tabor away early.

Game two was a different story. Oklahoma Wesleyan needed a walk off hit in the bottom of the seventh to seal the win 3-2.

Tyson Cronin was the star of that contest on the mound. Cronin went the full seven innings, striking out seven, walking two and allowing just six hits.

OKWU has now won 16 of its last 17 and stands at 19-4 on the year, 13-2 in conference play. The Eagles now hold a 1.5 lead over Tabor College in the KCAC.

Wesleyan next plays a two-game non-conference series at the College of the Ozarks beginning Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 PM.
