Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles Softball team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday with a split against Sterling College.  The Lady Warriors won the first game 3-1, but OKWU came from behind in game two with a 9-6 win.

Both teams were tied at one heading into the fifth inning when Sterling scored one run and scored one run in the top of the seventh to pick up the win.  Despite Jenna Daniel struckout 12 Sterling batters, she took the loss giving up three runs on five hits.  At the plate, Dakota Bottoms went 2 for 3 while Hannah Sharum, Mayan Meza Tover, and Selena Lopez each got a hit.

It looked like Sterling was going to win the second game, but OKWU had other things in mind.  Down 6-2 going into the bottom of the sixth inning, the Lady Eagles scored seven of their nine runs and held on for their 27th victory of the season.  Sterling as a team committed six errors.  At the plate, Christie Bell went 2 for 4 with 4 RBI's while Heather Jones, Hannah Sharum, and Selena Lopez each got a hit.

The Lady Eagles are now 27-21 on the year.  Next up for OKWU will be Sunday afternoon as they will conclude the regular season playing at Central Baptist.
