OKWU Softball Celebrates No-Hitter
Catching up on some of the top local stories from the weekend. Oklahoma Wesleyan softball’s Taylor threw a non-hitter in Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Southwestern College.
Stefek struck out 10 hitters over seven innings. She took a perfect game into the sixth inning before a dropped pop up and a walk put two runners on base. Stefek would work out of trouble before setting Southwestern down in order to close out the game.
During the course of the no-hitter Stefek picked up her 100th strike out of the season as well. Both accomplishments were celebrated after the game. Stefek leads the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference with 107 strikeouts on the season.
The Lady Eagles are 21-13 on the season and currently sit in fourth place in the KCAC standings.
