A couple Oklahoma Wesleyan notes:

Winter sports are about to kick off for OKWU, with the basketball team hosting a tournament this weekend at the Mueller Sports Complex. We will have more on that coming up later this week.

Fall sports are still chugging along and Oklahoma Wesleyan is still doing quite well, especially on the soccer field.

The women’s soccer team swept the Kansas Colligate Athletic Conference weekly awards that were announced on Tuesday. Sydney Vickers (defensive) and Kaja Cremin (offensive) won the awards.

Vickers didn’t allow a goal last week and had eight saves as goaltender. Cremin scored three goals of her own.

Both the Oklahoma Wesleyan soccer teams are still undefeated in conference play at 8-0.

The Lady Eagles moved up to No. 13 in this week’s national NAIA poll. The men have been ranked in the top five all season long.

Both teams are in action Tuesday night at Tabor College. This is the third to last regular season game of the season for both teams.

Women kick at 5:00 with the men starting at 7:30.
