Oklahoma Wesleyan soccer is headed to the Elite 8 after a 2-1 victory over Corban, Oregon in the NAIA National Tournament. The Eagles got a game-winner from Pedro Benito in the sixty-second minute on diving header.

Corban scored the first goal of the day in the first half. However, Stefan Cvetanovic equalized in the fortieth minute with a strike just before the halftime break. OKWU stifled Corban defensively in the second half after Benito’s goal put them ahead.

The win gives the Eagles 20 for a second consecutive season. OKWU will continue in the national tournament action from Irvine, California. The Eagles await the winner of Madonna, Michigan and Bellevue, Nebraska.
