For the second year in a row, OKWU soccer has advanced in the NAIA Tournament.

Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s soccer is Sweet 16 bound in the NAIA Tourney. The Eagles dispatched of Morningside, Iowa rather easily on Saturday afternoon to continue their play in the national event.

OKWU topped Morningside 5-2.

Oklahoma Wesleyan sprinted out to a 4-0 lead in the match before Morningside made some progress against the No. 2 seeded Eagles bench. The victory puts Wesleyan at 19-3 on the season.

OKWU now takes on Corbin, Oregon in the round of 16.

That match will be on Monday, Nov. 26 in Irving, California – the neutral site for the rest of the tournament.

Corbin is the No. 15 seed. It topped Arizona Christian 3-2 during its first round match this past weekend. Last season the Eagles advanced all the way to the Final Four before being bounced.
