Oklahoma Wesleyan men's basketball was all over the boards in a 62-53 win over Avila University in Kansas City on Monday night. The Eagles snagged 62 rebounds which is the most from any Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference team all season.

OKWU trailed 20-10 at the 11-minute mark in the first half. The Avila lead was reduced to 31-26 by halftime. The Eagles came out of the gate hot in the second half. Senior Brooks Haddock would knock down three three-pointers in the first four minutes out of the locker room.

The Eagles would snag the lead at 42-39 with 15 minutes left on the game. Avila would keep it close down the stretch but OKWU would gradually build its lead. OKWU would hold Avila to two points over the final five minutes. Taylen Miller would ice the game with a big three-pointer at the end.

Kaleb Stokes notched 12 points and 11 rebounds. Haddock was also in double-figured with 13 points. The Eagles are now 9-3 overall and 6-2 in KCAC play.
