Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s basketball suffered a tough loss on Saturday at Kansas Wesleyan, and it could have some postseason implications for the Eagles.

OKWU fell to the Coyotes, 78-64. It is the first double-digit loss for OKWU in three years. Wesleyan fell to the No. 3 spot in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament with the loss.

It is crunch-time for basketball all across the country, and Oklahoma Wesleyan will feel some of the heat this coming week.

The Eagles play in the conference tournament will now be vital in their bid to get back to the NAIA National Tournament. First round for OKWU will be at home against Friends on Thursday evening. A 7:00 tip, more on that matchup later on this week.

The OKWU women also lost on Saturday to Kansas Wesleyan, 63-55. The Lady Eagles were the last team in the KCAC tournament as the No. 8 seed
