OKWU Lady Eagles Crush Central Christian
Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles basketball team got off to a good start in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Friday afternoon with a 100-62 win over Central Christian College. The Lady Eagles led 44-29 at halftime and outscored Central Christian 56-33 in the second half to get the win. OKWU shot 49 percent for the game and out rebounded Central Christian 50-26. Kelsey Jones led the Lady Eagles with 13 points, followed by Susan Agesen with 12, Chelsea Davis with 11, and Meredith Saunier with 10 points.
Next up for the 15th ranked Lady Eagles will be against #14 College of the Ozarks for the MCAC South title Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Point Lookout, Missouri.
