Several OKWU golfers found success despite less than favorable conditions at Crestview Country Club in Wichita for the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season tournament.

The men’s team was able to battle back after a tough first day to post a solid day two score of 302. The Eagles trailed by five shots entering the day but were able to make up ground after solid play on the greens. They finished the event tied for first place with Bethany College.

Jack Pritchard was the top individual performer as he posted a two-day score of +9 to put himself on the podium with a second place finish overall. Pritchard as well as the rest of the field reaped the benefits of better day two conditions. Eagles head coach Scott Seymour explains Pritchard’s keys to success.

The women’s team continues to cruise as they finished with a share of first place for the third consecutive event. They finished tied for the top spot with Kansas Wesleyan with an overall score of 698.

Jordan Leonnard earned yet another top three finish, her third of the year, with a two-round score of +22. Coach Seymour is confident that Leonnard will get a win this season.

Both teams will be back on the course next Monday when they travel to Salina, Kansas for the Kansas Wesleyan Invitational at the Salina Country Club.
