OKWU Eagles on NAIA All-American Teams

The NAIA released its All-Americans on Tuesday for baseball and there were several Oklahoma Wesleyan players on the list.

Starting pitcher Tyson Cronin and third baseman Austin Sojka were the highlights, both those Eagles were second-team All-Americans.

In addition to Cronin and Sojka, starting pitcher Kyle Fimbrez was also named to the honorable mention list. OKWU baseball was outstanding in 2018, finishing at 53-8, and falling in the Upland, Indiana Regional finals.

Freed-Hardeman, Tennessee, the team that eliminated the Eagles from that regional, finished as the national runner-up, losing in the NAIA World Series championship game last week to Southeastern, Florida.

Wesleyan is still breaking in its former, albeit new, head coach in Kirk Kelley, after Matt Parker left this offseason for Eastern Oklahoma State.
