OKWU Beats Georgia Gwinnett In World Series

Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles got off to a good start in the NAIA World Series at Lewiston, Idaho as the Eagles extended their winning streak to 29 games with a 2-1 victory over Georgia Gwinnett.  OKWU scored their two runs in the bottom of the first inning and the defense took care of the rest of the game.  Diego Ibarra got the win on the mound improving his record to 13-1 overall.  In eight innings of work, Ibarra gave up a run on four hits and struck out three.  C.J. Gregory came in the ninth and got the save.  Avery Flores went 3 for 4 while Cody Riley went 2 for 4 with a RBI.  Garret Easton went 2 for 4.

The Eagles are now 56-6 overall and will next play on Monday evening.
