OKWU Basketball Team Ministers in the Bahamas
The Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball team got the unique opportunity to travel to the Bahamas for a mission trip earlier this month. Head coach Donnie Bostwick, 16 players and a Christian hip-hop artist named Adrian Butler all got the chance to embark on an amazing journey.
The team was able to get in multiple exhibitions matchups while on the island. Coach Bostwick talks about the on-court action.
The group was able to see parts of the island that were left ravaged by Hurricane Dorian in 2019. The team was able to host basketball camps and engage with local kids who were thrilled to be spending time with basketball players. Bostwick says it is important for the team to learn to give back.
Bostwick said it was a great experience to share with his team and the people of the Bahamas.
